If you want to give a completely new stimulus to your chest, adding the barbell decline bench press to your training routine will make a massive difference. By altering the angle of your torso, moving the barbell targets the lower region of your chest with exceptional precision while maintaining solid stability throughout the movement. The great thing about working this exercise with a barbell is the feeling of continuous power on every single rep. Over time, you will notice a much more defined shape and impressive density across your entire chest. It serves as the perfect complement to balance your pressing workouts, helping you build genuine upper body strength while taking some unwanted pressure off your shoulders.
1. Lock your feet under the pads of a decline bench and lie on your back. 2. Grip the bar with a grip wider than your shoulders and unrack it from the support. 3. Lower the bar towards your chest, keeping your elbows slightly bent and exhaling. 4. Press the bar upward to the starting position while exhaling and repeat.

- Keep your feet well supported on the pads. - Your elbows should be kept at 45 degrees from your torso. - Do not excessively arch your back when pressing.
