The lever pec deck fly is fantastic for isolating your chest, provided you avoid a few very common mistakes. A lot of lifters make the error of rounding their shoulders forward or peeling their upper back off the pad, which shifts tension away from the pectorals and strains the shoulder joints. By staying mindful of keeping your shoulders packed back, your spine flat, and bringing the handles together by squeezing through your chest, you ensure maximal tension on the target muscle. Using this machine properly keeps your form clean and protects your joints while delivering a huge pump.
1. Select the weight on the pec deck machine and sit with your back supported. 2. Place your forearms on the pads with your elbows at chest height. 3. Bring the handles together in front of your chest, contracting your pectorals. 4. Return in a controlled manner to the starting position and repeat.

- Ensure your elbows are at shoulder height or slightly below in the starting position. - Bring the handles together in front of your chest, feeling the contraction in the center of your pectoral. - Control the return to the starting position to maintain tension in the muscle.
