While performing the Lever Decline Chest Press, the fixed path of the lever machine provides great stability, but there are still key technical errors you should actively avoid. A frequent mistake when targeting the lower section of your chest is letting your shoulders roll forward during the pressing phase or losing back contact with the seat. Another issue is flaring your elbows too high, which shifts the stress directly onto your joints instead of engaging the chest muscles. By paying close attention to keeping your shoulder blades pulled back and controlling the return phase smoothly, you will maximize muscle engagement in your chest while keeping your joints safe.
1. Sit on the decline press machine with your back straight and the handles at chest height. 2. Grip the handles with a wide grip above the hand, elbows under your shoulders. 3. Press the lever until you fully extend your arms while exhaling. 4. Return the weight towards your chest in a controlled manner while inhaling, repeating the movement.

- Keep your shoulders stable and away from your ears. - Exhale when pressing and inhale when returning. - Do not completely lock your elbows in the extension.
