When you are looking for target-focused and stress-free work, the chair squat calf rock is fantastic for engaging your lower body from a stable seated position. Using only your bodyweight, you can pause at the top of the motion and truly feel that deep, clean contraction in both your quads and calves. The key to a great set is not speed, but rhythmic control: you want a smooth rock forward where you feel constant tension from start to finish without losing poise. By the end of a well-executed set, your legs feel tightly worked and nicely fatigued, leaving you with complete confidence in your movement and technique.
1. Sit on the edge of a chair with your feet flat on the floor, knees bent at 90 degrees. 2. Press through the balls of your feet to lift your heels off the floor, shifting your weight forward. 3. Pause at the top, squeezing your calf muscles. 4. Slowly lower your heels back to the floor, maintaining balance.

- Focus on the 'rock' or shift in weight from your heel to the ball of your foot. - Squeeze your calves at the top of each lift and control the descent back down. - Maintain a tall spine and do not slouch as you perform the movement. - Keep the motion slow and controlled; avoid bouncing your heels to use momentum.
