Setting a barbell across your upper back and hinging forward demands focus, but the Barbell Good Morning makes every second of precision completely worth it. As you perform this movement, the real key is feeling the deep tension building up along the back of your thighs as your hips shift backward. A quality set is not about moving heavy ego weight, but about experiencing your hamstrings stretch under total control while your spine stays rock solid. When you contract to drive back up straight, you feel an unmistakable engagement through your entire posterior chain that instills supreme technical confidence.
1. Place a bar on a rack at the height of your shoulders. 2. Position the bar on the back of your shoulders below your neck. 3. With your legs stationary, incline your torso forward by bending your hips until you are parallel to the floor. 4. Elevate your torso, contracting your lower back and glutes to the starting position.

- Start with the bar without weight or very light to master the technique. - Keep your back straight at all times; the movement is performed from the hips. - Never round your back during the exercise.
