The Assisted Parallel Close Grip Pull up is a remarkably versatile exercise that can be placed in different parts of your workout depending on your goal. Using the leverage machine at the start serves as an excellent warm-up to activate your back muscles with controlled resistance. Placed in the middle of your session, it lets you stack up volume and build strength without burning out your shoulders. Finally, executing it as a finisher allows you to safely push your back to complete exhaustion by adjusting the assistance when fatigue sets in.
1. Stand in front of the assisted pull-up machine and grip the parallel handles. 2. Kneel on the platform with your arms extended. 3. Pull your body upward until your elbows are parallel to the floor. 4. Lower in a controlled manner to the starting position and repeat.

- Keep your core activated and avoid swinging your legs to propel yourself. - Lower in a controlled manner, resisting gravity to work the eccentric phase. - Direct your chest towards your hands, not your head, when going up.
