Developing resilient, powerful lower legs is essential for overall athletic performance, and the sled calf press on leg press gives you that edge. Using this lever machine allows you to target your calves through a full stretch and peak contraction, building exceptional ankle stability along the way. The strength you develop here transfers directly into better balance and power when running, sprinting, or jumping in dynamic activities. By pressing firmly against the machine's platform with the balls of your feet, you fortify the connective tissue and muscle fibers, giving you a solid, stable foundation for any physical challenge you face.
1. Sit on the leg press machine with your back pressed against the backrest. 2. Place the tips of your feet on the lower edge of the platform with your heels extended. 3. Exhale and extend your ankles, pushing the platform upward. 4. Inhale and flex your ankles, lowering in a controlled manner until you feel a stretch in your calves.

- Vary the position of your feet (pointing forward, open, closed) to work different parts of your calves. - Perform a pause at the maximum contraction to increase effectiveness. - Do not lock your knees when extending your ankles.
