Incorporating the Side Lunge Stretch using just your bodyweight is a smart way to prepare your lower body before heavy lifting, or to cap off a leg workout. Since you rely strictly on your bodyweight, this exercise shines as a dynamic warm-up tool. It helps activate your glutes and quadriceps while opening up your hips and moving your body laterally—a plane of motion often neglected in the gym. If you choose to execute it at the end of your session, it works wonderfully as a cool-down to relieve tightness and keep your joints healthy after intense training.
1. Take a wide step to the side, keeping the opposite leg straight. 2. Lower your hip towards the bent leg, keeping your chest upright. 3. Pause for a moment in the adductor stretch. 4. Return to the center and repeat towards the other side.

- Take a wide lateral step. - Keep the straight leg as straight as possible. - Feel the stretch in the adductor of the extended leg.
