Building defined arms with the Cable High Pulley Overhead Tricep Extension requires a smart approach to progression. Working on a cable machine gives you continuous tension, but mastering the form comes first. Start with a manageable weight that lets you isolate your triceps cleanly without flare in your elbows or relying on momentum. As you gradually increase the resistance over time, maintain total control during the stretch and extension phases. Step-by-step load increases will push your triceps to adapt safely, ensuring steady strength gains without compromising your joint alignment or execution quality.
1. Attach a rope or straight bar to a high pulley cable, stand facing away from the machine, and grasp the attachment overhead with both hands. 2. Keeping your elbows pointed forward and stationary, slowly bend your elbows to lower the attachment behind your head. 3. Pause at the bottom of the movement, feeling a deep stretch in your triceps. 4. Extend your arms by squeezing your triceps to slowly return the weight to the starting overhead position.

- Keep your upper arms locked in place, close to your head; movement should only occur at the elbows. - Exhale as you extend your arms and squeeze your triceps. - Do not let your elbows flare out; keep them pointed forward to maintain tension. - Lower the attachment behind your head until you feel a deep stretch in your triceps.
