When approaching the cable incline pushdown, it is extremely easy to fall into the trap of using torso momentum or bending your elbows excessively. By paying attention to correct these flaws, you will transform a mediocre set into an intense workload for your back using the pulley machine. Make sure to lock your position on the incline bench and focus on driving the resistance down toward your thighs in a wide arc without yanking with your arms. You will prevent shifting tension away to unwanted joints and maintain continuous muscular engagement from top to bottom. You will instantly feel the difference in control once you slow down the return phase instead of letting the weight yank you back.
1. Place an incline bench in front of a high pulley machine. 2. Grip a short bar with palms facing forward overhead. 3. Lower the bar towards your thighs, keeping your arms extended. 4. Return controllably to the starting position.

- Keep your arms extended throughout the pushdown. - Lower the bar towards your thighs using triceps strength. - Control the return to the starting position, resisting the cable's force.
