Unilateral training requires high precision, and during the suspender single leg split squat, it is easy to lose control if you do not pay close attention. A frequent mistake when using this TRX suspension setup is pulling too hard with your arms, which takes away necessary work from the supporting leg. Another common flaw is letting your front knee collapse inward as you descend, reducing the engagement of your glutes, quadriceps, and adductors. By focusing on maintaining just enough tension in the straps without hanging from them and keeping your hips aligned through the squat, you ensure the effort stays where it belongs. Staying mindful of your posture prevents sudden twists in your joints and allows you to maximize balance, strength, and lower-body stability without risking improper form.
1. Grip the stirrups of fixed ropes above your height. 2. Step away to create tension with your arms extended. 3. Lift one leg and bend the supporting knee, lowering into a unilateral squat. 4. Extend the supporting leg to return to the starting position.

- Maintain tension in the ropes throughout the movement. - Lower controllably as far as your strength and balance allow. - Push with the supporting leg to return to the starting position.
