The Cross-Body Twisting Crunch is a fantastic bodyweight movement for targeting your core, but subtle mistakes can easily rob you of its benefits. The most frequent fault to watch out for is yanking on your neck with your hands to force your elbow to touch the opposite knee, which takes emphasis away from your abdomen and strains your neck. Instead of rushing through the motion with momentum, stay focused on initiating the twist solely through the contraction of your obliques. Keep your movement steady, breathe with control, and keep constant tension in your midsection throughout the entire range rather than collapsing flat between reps.
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent about 60°, feet flat, and hands behind your head. 2. Exhale and contract your abdomen while crossing your right elbow towards your left knee until they touch. 3. Inhale and return to the starting position, maintaining abdominal tension. 4. Repeat the movement with your left elbow and right knee, alternating sides with each repetition.

- Keep your feet flat and your knees bent during the entire movement. - Rotate your torso by contracting your oblique, not by pulling your neck. - Alternate sides in a controlled manner, maintaining rhythm.
