The Dumbbell Front Raise is a versatile movement that fits seamlessly into different parts of your workout depending on your goal. Using light dumbbells at the very start makes it an excellent preparation tool to warm up your shoulders and prime your joints before heavy pressing exercises. If you prefer to focus on building isolated strength, placing this exercise right in the middle of your upper body session lets you target the front shoulder head with deliberate control. Alternatively, keeping it for the very end as a finisher with higher repetitions will deliver a deep pump and exhaust any remaining energy. Adjusting where you place it gives you total control over your training structure.
1. Stand with your back straight, holding dumbbells in front of your thighs. 2. Lift one dumbbell forward in an arc to shoulder height. 3. Keep your arm straight with a slightly bent elbow. 4. Lower the dumbbell controllably and alternate arms.

- Alternate arms controllably, keeping your torso stable. - Lift the dumbbell to shoulder height, no higher. - Control the descent, resisting gravity in the eccentric phase.
