When performing the Standing Lateral Raise with band, it is extremely easy to make common mistakes due to the continuous tension provided by the resistance band. The most frequent error is swinging your upper body for momentum or shrugging your neck as you elevate, which shifts the stress to your traps instead of targeting your shoulders effectively. By focusing on maintaining a slight bend in your elbows and controlling both the lifting and lowering phases, you will prevent unwanted strain on your lower back. Keeping your feet firmly planted on the band guarantees smooth tension throughout the motion. Pay attention to execution to avoid jerking the handles, ensuring that your shoulders do all the work during your workouts.
1. Stand on a resistance band with your feet shoulder-width apart and grip the handles with your hands towards your thighs. 2. Exhale and lift the handles out to the sides using your lateral shoulders, maintaining a slight bend in your elbows. 3. Lift until your arms are slightly above parallel to the floor, without shrugging your shoulders. 4. Inhale and lower the handles controllably to the starting position, repeating the movement for the indicated repetitions.

- Step on the band with both feet for even tension. - Lift your arms laterally to shoulder height. - Control the descent, maintaining tension in the band.
