The cable stand-up offers a unique training experience where constant tension is the main highlight. As you sit on the floor holding the handle attached to the cable machine, you instantly feel your whole core brace to stabilize your posture. The real work happens during the transition: as you drive yourself upward into a standing position, you feel a deep, continuous contraction in your glutes and quadriceps that demands total body control. The challenge is not just getting to your feet, but resisting the steady pull of the cable as you lower yourself back down to the floor under complete control. Sensing that smooth resistance throughout the entire range of motion requires focus and precision, giving you complete mastery over your posture and balance.
1. Grip the cable with both hands and sit on the floor. 2. Pull the cable while standing up, keeping your torso firm. 3. Pause for a moment when completely upright. 4. Descend, controlling the cable until you return to the floor.

- Keep your core tight during the entire movement. - Use your legs to help with the standing impulse. - Control the descent to avoid hitting the floor forcefully.
